GWM TANK Expands Powertrain Options, POER HEV Returns Strong!

GWM is preparing to launch the diesel-powered TANK 300 and TANK 500 models in 2025. At the same time, the hybrid pickup truck GWM POER SAHAR HEV will make a comeback in the market, reinforcing Thailand’s role as a strategic hub for right-hand drive vehicles globally.

Current TANK 300 and TANK 500 Models

At present, the TANK 300 offers two models and is positioned as a C-Segment SUV with prices ranging from THB 1,649,000 to THB 1,799,000. It features a 2.0L turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor located at the front, delivering a combined power of 350PS and 616N·m of torque. The available models are hybrids:

  • TANK 300 HEV PRO 2023: THB 1,649,000
  • TANK 300 HEV ULTRA 2023: THB 1,799,000

Meanwhile, the TANK 500 is available in two variants as well, positioned as an E-Segment SUV, with a larger body than the TANK 300 and prices ranging between THB 2,049,000 to THB 2,269,000. It also features a 2.0L turbo engine and electric motor, delivering 354 horsepower and 616Nm of torque. Notably, the battery warranty lasts for 8 years with unlimited mileage:

  • TANK 500 HEV PRO 2023: THB 2,049,000
  • TANK 500 HEV ULTRA 2023: THB 2,269,000

GWM POER SAHAR HEV

Currently, the GWM POER hybrid is not available in the Chinese market, but the specifications show that the vehicle is powered by a 2.0T+9HAT hybrid system with a total output of 300kW and a maximum torque of 750Nm. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.15 seconds and offers three driving modes: fully electric, hybrid, and intelligent.

GWM’s new models reflect their commitment to expanding hybrid and diesel offerings, catering to the growing demand for versatile and eco-friendly vehicles.
